Reiki
Pronounced “Ray-Key”, it means “Universal Life Force”. This safe, gentle technique originated in Japan and is now used in hospitals and clinics worldwide as complementary to medical treatments. It is not affiliated with any religion and is safe for all ages.
The goal is to keep the body, mind, and spirit in balance and harmony and this holistic modality offers change by opening blockages and balancing the body’s energy.
During a session, Reiki energy is channeled through my hands to you through hand placements either on or above the key energy centers of your body (Chakras). This energy knows where it is needed and will naturally gravitate there. You remain fully clothed and comfortable, usually lying down on a massage table. Soft music, crystals, and other tools may be used.
Every person experiences Reiki energy uniquely, whether a hot or cold sensation, tingling, pulsing, pure love, insights, or simply deep relaxation.
After the session, most people feel relaxed and calm, or energized. Some individuals who experience clearing of an emotional or mental blockage may feel more tired or more emotional.
Reiki may be used:
- for pain or tension relief, emotional healing, relaxation, and general well-being
- to alleviate stress, revitalize, energize
- to support the body’s natural ability to heal
- as a complement to medical treatments
- to incite spiritual awareness
- to target a specific issue
- as part of a regular self-care routine
- and more.
About Reiki Sessions
In-person sessions run 60 minutes at $80.
Distance sessions (worldwide via telephone) run 60 minutes at $80. A photo (selfie) of the client is required before the session.
